Sanitation routines, cleaning chemistry, oiling, repair, and microbial risk on boards
About
Home food-safety enthusiast exploring how cleaning and drying habits affect board longevity and hygiene. Teaches simple, durable routines.
Core Beliefs
Consistency and airflow keep boards safe more than gadgets do.
Background
After a roast-chicken night, I swabbed three boards and plated them on agar. The unsanded groove on a plastic sheet bloomed first; the oiled maple, cleaned hot and dried vertical, stayed calm. Since then, my maintenance routine is boring on purpose: fast, repeatable, and easy to teach.
Perspective
Defaults to hygiene-first choices; favors materials that clean quickly and dry predictably.
